How might you grow through this crisis -- to unlock leadership effectiveness and
construct the new story of school?

Why The Big Questions Institute?
Leading through crisis and uncertainty calls for fearless inquiry about the world as it is today and the willingness to imagine what it might become tomorrow.
The Big Questions Institute was created to support educational leaders as they make sense of this complex moment.
When leaders participate in our growing global community of passionate, committed educators, they access our fresh approach to professional learning and coaching, and join us in exploring the contexts that are now driving change in all areas of life. As a result, they strengthen their school communities, acquire transformational knowledge and vision, and design effective paths forward.
BQI seeks to grow and amplify the ability of educators and leaders to create a more equitable, just, and engaged world for all of our children.
Leading Into the Future
For educational leaders who have for months been exhausted by the practical challenges of moving school online, the challenges of reopening and of creating a lasting new vision for schooling are just starting. And now, the questions are becoming existential.
- What is an "education" today?
- What is the purpose of school?
- What values, commitments, and beliefs do we hold most dear when we think of our work with children moving forward?
- What is worth learning today?
These questions and others like them require us to dig deep. And leading conversations around them in school communities requires a different skillset and mindset to navigate successfully.
That's why we created the Big Questions Institute.
