It's time to look at our everyday practices in schools with some fresh eyes. Our RRAGE cards will help you do that, and have some fun along the way.
"Being 'radical' simply means 'pulling at the root.'"
~Angela Davis
To Educators, Parents, Students, Boards, and School Communities, We Ask:
What better time is there to bring a 'radical' lens to our practice in education?
If you’re feeling like now is the time to start looking at education and classrooms really differently, and you want to start some powerful conversations around what that change might look like, then it’s time to get RRAGE!
That’s not to say that this collaborative activity will necessarily make you angry about schools and schooling (though, they might…)
Instead, our RRAGE cards are a way to push out from the edges of current practice and thinking and imagine what might be if we really honed in on the most important aspects of our work.
And remember, getting “radical” about school simply means “pulling at the root,” as in being willing to uncover some of the limitations and opportunities in the ways we think about the experience. “Radical” doesn’t suggest anger as much as it suggests “fearless inquiry” into what is and what might be.
We hope you enjoy this deck or any variation of it that you create on your own. And please let us know how your conversations go!
