Homa Tavangar is the co-founder and CEO of the Big Questions Institute, bringing 30+ years of strategic advisory experience — spanning an early career leading international business, equity and belonging, and economic development strategy for over 100 organizations, from Accenture, Disney Channel, and the University of Pennsylvania, to micro-businesses and the World Bank — to her work as a trusted leader coaching heads of school and boards through strategic planning, crises, governance, and complex organizational change across five continents. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UCLA and Princeton University, she co-facilitates school leadership and governance training for Trustees worldwide, has served on numerous boards, including International School Services and the Templeton Prize, and has authored seven books, including the best-selling Growing Up Global (Random House) and multiple books for educators. She is married, the mother of three adult daughters, and is based in Villanova, Pennsylvania.

Kathleen Naglee is an award-winning educational leader and futurist whose 20+ year career spans executive leadership, crisis navigation, and strategic innovation at the highest levels of international education. As CEO and Head of School at the International School of Helsinki, she drove a 37% increase in enrollment, led a mission-driven strategic plan and rebrand, and secured the school’s recognition as a Hewlett-Packard School of Innovation. Last year she was tapped to serve as Interim Head of Bonn International School to guide the Board and community during a particularly volatile time. A former NEASC Commissioner and Chair of the Central and Eastern European Schools Association Board, she is co-creator of the VISTA leadership protocol and a trusted advisor on AI policy and governance, strategic planning, and school design — earning her recognition as one of the Top 75 Edruptors in International Education and induction into the Association for the Advancement of International Education’s Hall of Fame.

Currently based in Massachusetts, and chairing an independent school Board, Tim Carr has led some of the world’s most iconic international schools over a 20+ year career spent living on four continents, serving as Head of School at the Jakarta Intercultural School (Indonesia), the American School in Japan, the Country Day School (Costa Rica), and Graded – The American School of São Paulo (Brazil). He was named the 2015-16 International Superintendent of the Year by the Association for the Advancement of International Education, and later served as Co-Head of Avenues Online, continuing to focus on transformational learning and building visionary, future-oriented learning communities for students and educators. He now runs his own coaching practice, offering leadership coaching, strategic facilitation, visioning and future planning, school assessments, and governance training and support to school leaders and boards.

Tim Kelley served as the Director of the International School of Stuttgart, an IB Continuum school for nearly 20 years and has been a well respected independent and international educator for over 30 years. Formerly the Head of Ross School in New York, he was also the Headmaster for the Leysin American School in Switzerland beginning his career at the Noble and Greenough School (USA) as an award-winning teacher and Head of Department in both History and Performing Arts. 

 

In addition to receiving a Klingenstein Fellowship on Educational Leadership,Tim has served as a Board Chair for the Executive Committee for the Swiss Group of International Schools, the Association of German International Schools and the Educational Collaborative for International Schools.  He is currently the founder of TKonnect Coaching and Consulting working with educational leaders and their schools all over the world.
